Vasily Parfenkov can be sent behind bars
Today, on May 29 at 10:00 in the Pervomaisky district court in Minsk the trial on the criminal case of former political prisoner Vasily Parfenkov has started.
He is accused of failure to comply with the requirements of preventive supervision (Article 421 of the Criminal Code).
The case is considered by the judge Sergey Bondarenko, who on November 24, 2011 sentenced the chairman of the Human Rights Center "Viasna" Ales Bialiatski to 4.5 years in prison.
The prosecution believes that Vasily Parfenkov has violated the regime of preventive surveillance for three times. Once the former political prisoner failed to appear in the supervision institution.
