Foreign ministers of Poland and Germany to visit Minsk
Guido Westerwelle and Radoslaw Sikorski, the foreign ministers of Germany and Poland respectively, will visit Belarus on November 2, ahead of the country’s presidential vote, the press office of the Polish ministry said on Friday.
"The two ministers would like to deliver a clear message to the Belarusian side in connection with the election," the press office said.
The ministers are expected to meet with Alyaksandr Lukashenka and Foreign Minister Syarhey Martynaw.
Mr. Sikorski also intends to discuss Belarusian-Polish relations with Uladzimir Makey, head of the Presidential Administration, the press office said.
The two ministers will also meet with pro-democratic presidential contenders and civil society activists during their visit to the Belarusian capital city.
The press office of the Belarusian foreign ministry confirmed the report of the ministers` coming visit to Minsk.
