State TV: IISEPS does not conduct surveys in Belarus
The sociological organization IISEPS (Independent Institute of Socio-Economic and Political Studies) has become a target for attacks on the TV channel Belarus-1 before the parliamentary election. An anonymous investigation was broadcast on July 31. It was called “IISEPS Supremacy”.
The IISEPS publishes survey results without conducting any surveys, the authors of the programme claimed. Western donors’ money is being wasted, the journalists announced.
Aleh Manayeu has been the head of the IISEPS since 1992. The Supreme Court liquidated the organization at the beginning of the 2000s. The IISEPS was registered in Lithuania afterwards.
The reporters referred to some internal ISSEPs documents. The documents had been brought to them stealthily, they claimed.
