Uladzimir Makei: Belarus is ready to make any effort to settle the Russia-Turkey conflict

"We are ready, if necessary, to make any effort to settle [the Russia-Turkey conflict] in the same way as we do regarding Ukraine," Belarus Foreign Minister Uladzimir Makei told the Belarusian TV in an interview, adding that Belarus did not insist on a mediator's role.
As Sputnik recalls, elations between Moscow and Ankara deteriorated following the downing of Russia’s Su-24 frontline bomber over Syria by a Turkish jet on November 24.
On November 28, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on economic measures against Ankara in retaliation for the downing of the Su-24 aircraft.
