Minsk wants to become platform for joint interests of EU and Eurasian Union
Belarusian authorities hope that European partners will support this initiative.
Belarus is ready to act as a platform not only for political negotiations, but also for consolidation of the economic interests of the Eurasian Economic Union and the European Union. The announcement came from Deputy Foreign Minister, Alyaksandr Huryanau, on Thursday, November 20.
He hopes that this proposal will be echoed by European partners. Deputy Foreign Minister stressed that "Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan and now Armenia wish so," reports RIA Novosti.
It was in Minsk that an agreement on ceasefire between the representatives of Kiev Donbass and the breakaway republics was signed in September. The OSCE and Russia mediated the process.
