Dollar Rate Rose by Br200 at Extra Session
The dollar rose by Br200 to Br7.810 at the end of the next trading day at an extra session of the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange.
The official dollar rate, set by the National Bank at the basic session, also rose - by Br8 to Br5.758.
The euro rose by Br180 to Br10.600 after trades on October 6, as well as its official rate - by 0.31% to Br7.676.57.
As for the Russian ruble, it also increased - by Br7 to Br246, while at basic session – by 0.53% to Br177.12.
The Belarusian ruble against a basket of currencies fell by 0.33% to Br1.985.65 against the previous value.
The Belarusian authorities plan to terminate the extra session exchanges and to set a new official fx rate in November. In addition, the National Bank is ready to carry out fx intervention at the extra session to avoid a sharp dollar hike.
