Russia agrees compromise with Belarus on oil supplies
During a telephone conversation on March 21, Prime Ministers of Belarus and Russia Siarhey Rumas and Mikhail Mishustin confirmed that they had reached fundamental agreements on the parameters of cooperation in the oil sector, the press service of the Russian government reports. These agreements take into account the mutual interests of the parties, the source noted.
"The implementation of these agreements will ensure the supply of Russian oil to the refineries of the Republic of Belarus in full and on agreed terms," said the Russian government.
Siarhey Rumas also thanked Mikhail Mishustin for the possibility provided to Belarusians from abroad to get to their home country by airplanes through Russia. In addition, the heads of government discussed the construction of the Belarusian nuclear power plant and made "operational decisions to ensure the progress of work in accordance with the adopted schedule," the Russian government informed.
As Euroradio reported, the day before Alyaksandr Lukashenka stated that Russia agreed to all conditions of Belarus on oil supply.
