Statistics on foreigners using visa-free entry to Belarus available
The Ministry of Sports and Tourism has made public information on foreigners who used visa-free entry to our country.
The figures were voiced by Hanna Mukha, head of marketing and quality of tourist services of the Tourism Department of the Ministry of Sport and Tourism:
“About 30 thousand foreigners have taken advantage of the opportunity to visit Belarus since the presidential decree on visa-free regime came into force. The main areas are sports tourism and cultural sphere”.
According to the official, the non-visa regime helped to attract into Belarus a lot of foreign tourists.
On February 12, visa-free regime for citizens of 80 countries was introduced in Belarus. According to it, those who arrive at the Minsk airport do not need a tourist visa to visit Belarus for not more than five days. The visa-free regime covers 39 countries in Europe and the United States, Canada, Indonesia, Japan, India and others.
