Russian agency arrested 19 tones of Polish apples imported from Belarus
Inspectors of Rosselkhoznadzor for Bryansk and Smolensk regions, together with the Bryansk traffic policemen have detained a 19-ton lorry with apples that was going to bypass the ‘Chyrvony Kamen’ official notice point.
The carrier presented a phytosanitary certificate and the bill of lading, which showed that the sender of the goods was Belarusian company “Ekapirol” and the vehicle was owned by a Belarusian individual entrepreneur.
However, during the inspection of goods inspectors established Polish labeling on products and arrested the shipment. After the completion of the administrative investigation procedure, the products will be destroyed.
Overall, since the beginning of 2016, Bryansk and Smolensk Rosselkhoznadzor seized has 1,544 tons of “sanctioned” food, of which nearly 830 tons are Polish apples.
